Accidentally removed edit permissions for all users (including site owners) to a document

So I un-inherited permissions for a document, as that particular document needed to only be editable by one person. Unfortunately I accidentally also changed permissions on the document to only give Site Owners read-only permission as well. That removed my ability to edit the permissions on the document, so it seems I’m in a catch-22 now where I can’t correct the permissions until I have the correct permission.

Any ideas how I could remedy this? If I had to I could simply create a duplicate version of the document (which should inherit permissions from it’s parent folder) and then go in and re-remove permissions inheritance from that file, but I’d like to not have to do that (I’d like to keep the audit trail of changes)
