30,000 files can’t be synced with OneDrive

Getting this error on a users computer. We use a SharePoint site since our NAS died and everyone syncs from that and all the files usually appear with the lovely blue cloud on File Explorer. Except for this user, they seem to have a random 30k of the files (most aren’t used by that user) all with red X’s.

I have recently upgraded this user from Win 7 to 10 because I didn’t have time to work out why, when I synced on Win 7 from SP Online it started downloading all the files locally. This is probably the reason for the error. The error states there’s a copy of this file locally and therefore can’t sync.

Any ideas on where the files are stored locally? or has anyone had this sort of issue? Could it be that the files are being stored in the previous version of Windows? as that seems to be about 60GB (checked via disk cleanup). I’ve deleted temp files off the machine but not the OneDrive Temp files (contains about 2k files).

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
