We’ve confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 1/11 7:13 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 1/8, 18:40 UTC and that during the time it took to resolve the issue any Log Analytics customer who attempted to create a dashboard in view designer may have experienced issues with certain controls rendering properly.
We understand that customers rely on Azure Log Analytics as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
Root cause has been isolated to a misconfiguration which was impacting view designer. To address this issue we are reconfiguring the service. We should have the view designer back to full function as soon as we complete the reconfiguration.
We continue to investigate issues within Log Analytics. Root cause is not fully understood at this time. Some customers continue to experience issues with the view designer list of queries in Ibiza and classic dashboard appearing blank. We currently have no estimate for resolution.
